Celebrity Diet Pills That Really Work - August 10th, 2010

There are many celebrity diet pills, all claiming that if they worked for this celebrity, it must be the most effective option. Of course, most of these celebrities have never actually lost or gained significant amounts of weight since coming into the spotlight. But of course, we ignore that, because we think that celebrities must know what they are talking about. Of course, I would be more inclined to believe scientists, doctors, and clinical studies. But obviously, most people will not think this way. So the question would be, are there any diet pills that really work when promoted by celebrities?

Unfortunately, I have yet to see a largely celebrity based product that works. They obviously use celebrities to attract your attention. But you are paying the big bucks for those endorsements. Regardless of how cheap the product may seem right then, it is extremely overpriced. But it goes beyond that. The reason why they often use this tactic is because, if they were to rely purely on ingredients, you would know that these are not diet pills that really work. They would never make any sales.

When looking for diet pills that really work, I would suggest staying away from the hype of celebrity diet pills. Most of the time, you will find that methods used by many celebrities are not necessarily healthy, let alone effective. And most celebrities who promote these weight loss pills and other products, you will find, have never actually used the products themselves. But of course, this is no big surprise.

Vitamin C For Wrinkles - September 30th, 2009

Vitamin C has been a supplement most people I’ve known have used at one point or another.  Usually they drink it or take it in pill form to boost their immunity.  But you should actually also use it on your face.  It is an extremely powerful antioxidant, and there are entire wrinkle creams based around it for a reason.  But according to recent studies, they are showing what we partly already knew, that it significantly reduces inflammation.

Yes, vitamin C significantly reduces inflammation that has been connected to heart disease, immune system disease, diabetes, obesity, and dementia among other things.  It basically kills off free radicals and it also apparently reacts with the C Reactive protein, which has a big part in inflammation.

Vitamin C has many different properties that help it to actively get rid of your wrinkles or rather prevent them, and it really has various other benefits as well.  You would be well advised to say the least to use vitamin C in all your daily meals and otherwise to help yourself with even a vitamin C supplement that could also be used and mixed into a daily face mask.  It can finally help you to achieve the results you want and need, and really, vitamin C is one of the best vitamins in the world for all its capacities, not just those related to skincare.

Drinking & Smoking - September 18th, 2009

Drinking, Smoking and lack of sleep speeds up the skin-aging.

One or two cups of drink are considered as an adequate amount for an average person’s dinking because it helps to speed up your metabolism. However, if you drink too much drink, it evaporates the water in your body and dehydrates your skin leaving fine wrinkles, red spots and pimples. Smoking is as bad as alcohols for your skin. Especially if you smoke and drink at the same time it makes the situation worse. So drinking and smoking takes away the water from your body making it dry out and speed up your skin-aging. After drinking too much alcohol, if you don’t clean your face properly, it could cause many troubles on your skin and the bacteria will start to multiply making producing pimples. For women, it takes much longer time to recover from skin damages than men because women tend to have slow recovery systems and their body cannot take in too much alcohol at once.

When you are drinking alcohol, you should drink water with it now and then to prevent your water evaporation. Drinking lots of water can dilute the alcohol level in your body and helps you to sleep better. If you want better skin, try to wash your face while drinking, if not possible, at least use water spray or clean small damp towel to cleanse your face.

Pumpkins - September 17th, 2009

Pumpkins can settle the puffiness on your face or eyes.  The high vitamin A in pumpkin renews the skin and helps to make the skin smoother, silky, clear and it is very good for preventing wrinkles. In Korean medicine they believe if you use pumpkin to wash your face it will help to remove dark spots, chloasma and freckles and make your skin more elastic. Also in Japanese medicine, old pumpkins are known for removing paralysis and dark spots and make your skin more glossy and shiny. The pumpkins themselves may look ugly but it helps to make people look pretty. If you want to make a face mask with pumpkins, here is the instruction.

Mix a piece of an old pumpkin, grated, a table spoon of honey, 2 tea spoons of flour and 2 teaspoons of milk. Blend it until it gets thick and rich.

After washing your face clean and spread the prepared pumpkin face mask on your face evenly. After leaving it on for 15 to 20 minutes, rinse it off with warm water. You have to wash it very clean so you don’t get any remnants of pumpkin left on your face. Always finish off by rinsing with cold water.

Anti-aging - September 16th, 2009

It’s nice to look at people who smile a lot but smiling has more than just the looks. Smiling can help extend the limit of your skin aging. When you smile, the muscles in your face start to move around and helps tightens your skin and prevents it from dropping. Also the endorphins that come out when you smile reduce stress and maintain your health.

The nicotine in coffee has diuretic effect and takes the moisture from the body and the skin will have water deficiency. So it is better not to drink coffee too often if your skin type is dry. If you can’t do this, you have to drink more water or do something else to make up the water loss from drinking coffee to prevent skin aging.

Sleeping is one of the best treatments for skin aging because sleep helps to renew the cells. Try to sleep before 2 in the morning and avoid things that will disturb your sleep because that is when your metabolism is the most activated. Remember the movie, sleeping beauty.

Apples help you to smooth your metabolism and activate your movement in your intestine. An apple in the morning can help you get rid of constipation and maintain healthy skin.

Good skin care habits - September 15th, 2009

Say if you tried everything to maintain your skin in a good condition but your one bad habit could ruin your skin at once without you even noticing. How would it feel? The drink you drink unintentionally, the smoke you cannot quit because of stress or going to sauna often to relax. These things can result your skin in very bad conditions.

Alcohol puts the inflammation in the body in worse condition and when it is broken down in the body, it takes the moisture in the body. This is why the next day after you drink, your skin gets dried and crumbly. It also puts too much pressure on the liver decreasing the antioxidant, which helps to prevent skin damage from the UV light.

People who smoke have 10 times higher chance to get wrinkles than those who don’t smoke. Nicotine in the smoke contracts the blood vessels in the skin and disturbs the nutrients and oxygen supply. The smoke from the cigarettes contain carbon monoxide and other oxidation substances speeds up the aging of the skin cells and reduces the ability to renewal of the cells. This is why when you smoke a lot; your skin color gets dark and dull.

Sensitive skin treatment - September 13th, 2009

Skin treatment for sensitive skin

Rule no1. Don’t mix different cosmetics made by different brands. Sensitive skins react easily to outside environment and one of the most sensitive reactant is the makeup or face lotions because it has a direct contact with the skin. Different brands have different ingredients that make up the products and when it gets mixed together, it doesn’t balance the ingredients affecting your skin.

Rule no2. Don’t eat foods that have strong flavors. Sensitive skins react easily to internal environments as well. When you eat foods that have strong flavors, it stimulates the stomach and the liver and this directly affects the skin causing skin disorders. If you have sensitive skin there is higher chance for you to have allergies so you have to be very careful of what you eat.

Rule no3. Extreme temperature changes are bad for the skin. One of the symptoms that sensitive skin has is that it easily gets very red and hot. Sometimes when you give the skin a sudden extreme temperature, it could make the skin get red and puffy.

Rule no4. UV lights are the strongest stimulus to your skin. Sensitive skins have higher chance of getting rebefaction, speckles and purulent inflammations.

Collagen Injections - August 5th, 2009

The most popular option or at least one among them has been collagen injections.  Many are running to their doctor or specialist to get them, and they are certainly an easier alternative to surgical facelifts for example and options that don’t come with side effects like you would find with botox.  They are meant to fill in the gaps in the skin and expand things in general.  They have also been popular among men though.

What you should know is that interestingly enough our bodies hold 27 different types of collagen, mostly to cover different needs within your body in different areas of the body in general.  It can be found in the bones, cartilage, tendons, and the skin, and it is crucial for the strength of these areas in general.  Over the years, all 27 types tend to break down, and as a result, one of the problems is that your skin begins to sag and lose its youth.

Collagen injections cover a certain type of collagen and can reduce wrinkles, laugh lines, creases, and indented acne scars.  It is virtually painless.  However, despite what they may say about how long it lasts, the body quickly goes through this artificial collagen from animal sources.  It lasts for only a few months at a time at most, and quite frankly, it can have side effects like injection site pain.  Last of all, it can be quite expensive.  So all are to be considered in a realistic view of things.

Economic Surgeries - July 29th, 2009

In times of tough economy, paradoxically people are actually spending more on plastic surgery.  They want to look younger due to ageism problems, they want to have a better look because many are more likely to pick attractive people in general, there are really various reasons why people go in for surgery more often at this time.  But the fact is it’s happening.  Now not all of these people are getting greater job opportunities because of these surgeries.  People always hope for it.

But you have to consider the strength of your resume in general.  If your resume is weak, it really doesn’t matter if you have plastic surgery.  Chances are they aren’t going to hire the most attractive person with a bad resume.  However, if you have a strong resume paired against someone with the same kind of resume, there is a high chance that they are going to lean toward the younger or more attractive one, younger because obviously they could get more work years out of them.  So it doesn’t exactly hurt to try it.  However, people have found that a strong resume has been more substantial and generally being persistent.
